Janine Doucette LaValley announced that her company has purchased
Broadmeadow Sign Studio, also of Groton, Ma.
Former
owner Andy Fields is pleased with the sale. Broadmeadow
Sign Studio has always produced classically designed, high
quality signs for discriminating customers. Field states
with pride. "I cant think of a better person
than Janine to carry on that tradition".
"Andy
and I have collaborated on projects for many years, so it
was a natural progression to acquire his company,"
Janine says. "Both companies enjoy a positive reputation
for good design. And while both have a great deal of experience
with historic districts, we also provide contemporary signs
of all types."
"We
take a holistic approach to signage," Janine continues.
"Businesses must get the most impact for their money.
We bring together marketing savvy, good design and visual
communication to make signs part of a total business identity
package. And were experienced in all aspects of municipal
and historic district permitting."
The
combined company will work out of Local Colors expanded
studio and fabrication facilities at 313 Hill Road in Groton.
Janine will handle sales, design and permitting. She and
her husband Keith design and fabricate the signs together.
Keith LaValley is a Master Electrician and carpenter with
over 15 years of experience. He handles all the fabrication,
lighting and installation.

"Our
services go far beyond most sign companies," Keith
adds. "By including my fifteen years of woodworking
experience with sign fabrication, the customer can personalize
their project to suit their individual needs. In addition
to signs, we can design and build landscaping elements,
interior displays and graphics. Were licensed and
insured for all installation work." Broadmeadow Sign
Studio will continue to function as a subsidiary of Local
Color Design and offer the same range of carved & dimensional
signs, illuminated signs, site signs, temporary signs, vehicle
lettering and banners.
The
combined portfolio of the two companies includes freestanding,
on-building, window and awning signs for a diverse range
of clients in the Metro-West area, including Mass Development,
Devens, Dunkin Donuts, Curves, Nashoba Valley Hospital,
Emerson Hospital, Hewlett Packard, Acorn/DeckHouse structures,
W.H.B. Platt Builders, Groton School, Big Brother Association,
Maugel Architects and Health Wyse. Plus, many historic locations
that include, churches, banks, cafes, sign programs for
shopping plazas, unique retail locations and many small
businesses.
"This
acquisition gives us start-to-finish capabilities,"
Janine explains. "We can now control the process from
design through permitting and fabrication to the final installation.
Customers can count on us to deliver great signs with no
problems."
